Alternative to RouteXL

Route XL is a tool that lets you calculate routes fairly easily. If you are looking for more features, however, you are quickly limited.

Drivers get a handy app that shows them exactly how to drive. You also send your customers a track and trace message via e-mail and/or text message. So they know exactly what time you will deliver the order.

RouteXL is a very nice system if you want to take away about 20 assignments per day. RouteXL is free up to 20 assignments/addresses per day. If you want to take these assignments away with 4 vehicles, you have to create a route manually and 4 times. You choose which 5 addresses you want in each vehicle and then calculate a route per vehicle. This is not the most efficient route because you have to "guess" which addresses you can best combine. The difference with RouteLogic is that there you simply add 20 assignments and RouteLogic automatically figures out for you the most efficient route for each vehicle. It may be that this automatic calculation shows that 20 jobs can be taken away with 2 vehicles. However, you can also easily choose to route 20 jobs using 4 vehicles (the time each vehicle spends on the road is then also reduced). With RouteLogic, choose what best suits your working method and the rest is automatic.

Another difference between RouteXL and RouteLogic is the price. With RouteXL, you pay nothing for calculating up to 20 assignments and 1 vehicle. With RouteLogic, you can plan up to 50 assignments and 5 vehicles for free. As soon as you want to plan more addresses with RouteXL, you pay €5 per day for 100 jobs and €10 per day for 200 jobs (or €70 per month). With RouteLogic, you only pay a fixed monthly fee from € 39.00 / vehicle. With RouteLogic, you then create an unlimited number of routes with an unlimited number of assignments per day. With RouteLogic, you also get a driver app (so your drivers know what to do) and track-and-trace for your customers. This functionality is included in the monthly fee.
