Creating an optimal delivery experience for the customer

Delivering a perfect product to the customer, without damage and at the agreed time. That is the mission of Garden Plant Shop. Challenges, however, are that these are fragile products. The plants must therefore be packed firmly and neatly. To then be carefully delivered to the customer's garden without damage.

Shipping products using a parcel service caused a lot of stress and uncertainty. Parcels did not arrive, got damaged or it was completely unclear what time the delivery driver would be there. For this reason, Tuinplantenwinkel.nl chose to start delivering itself. This ensured full control over the customer journey and especially last-mile delivery.

Besides delivering a perfect product, there is more to an ultimate delivery experience. Garden Plant Shop wishes to provide the customer with real-time delivery information such as track-and-trace. This way, the customer can run an errand without fear of missing the delivery time. To achieve this, Garden Plant Shop went looking for a route planning software that could support them in this.

Search for a tool that meets the requirements

Several tools were extensively tested in the search explains Garden Plant Shop.

"Initially, we partnered with another provider with similar software. Unfortunately, we had to discontinue this after six months. The provider did not fulfil its agreements, the software did not function as promised and was not stable, causing the system to crash. If there's something you don't want, it's these issues. It happened regularly that the routes went down when the delivery driver was on his way or when the customer wanted to view the track-and-trace, this caused us a lot of stress, questions and negative reviews." - Marc Neutkens (Founder Tuinplantenwinkel.nl) 

Tuinplantenwinkel then started looking for a suitable party again. To achieve the ultimate customer experience, they now know exactly what the software needs to meet to be successful. In this search, they came across RouteLogic. And that was a good move! Marc Neutkens (owner) and Patrick Berendsen (planner) of Tuinplantenwinkel.nl say the limitations are a thing of the past.
